Members of the tribe who live in Alameda should join us for hikes, movies, Jewish holiday parties, and other gatherings. All are welcome. Some of us are affiliated with a synagoge (on island and off) and some are not. We are families, singles, empty nesters and young couples).

We are a community of Jews committed to the healing, repair and transformation of our world, the Jewish community, Israel, and our own inner selves. We are part of an emerging movement of Jewish Renewal that is seeking to return to the deepest sources of Jewish spirituality. This group is for busy people who want to go deep into the Jewish bible, but only have an hour during lunchtime. Usually on Wednesdays Rabbi Raleigh will lead us on a lively discussion with his vast knowledge, enthusiasm and charm. Everyone is welcome to join, although if you have a Jewish background, this is the group for you!
